Dusty is a one-owner dog who is now looking for a new owner after the death of the only owner he ever knew. While his owner passed away several years ago, Dusty still mourns for the loss along with the company and companionship of an owner. While life is good at the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler, Texas, he's still looking for his new permanent residence.

Dusty is an eight-year-old Shepherd mix who is just a sweetheart says Pets Fur People's executive director Gayle Helms. She says he prefers the companionship of men. With the right understanding and care, Dusty will surely find a loving home where he is cherished and feels a lot of love from his new owner.

Dusty deserves a fresh start with a new loving family.

This big guy will go home with a starter kit of food, a big fluffy dog bed, a collar and leash and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.

For additional information on adopting Dusty call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm.

The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats.
