2 Dead, 2 Injured in Smith County Club Shooting
(KNUE-FM) This past Sunday morning, two men died and two women were injured in a shooting that took place at a club in Smith County, Texas.
What Happened at the Smith County Club
According to KETK, Smith County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1, Derrick Choice, was called out to the club on State Highway 64 at approximately 8:00 a.m. The call came in as a fatal shooting that took place at the former Exotic Social Club location, 11840 Hwy 64 W in Tyler.

What We Know About the Victims
The shooting took place around 1:40 a.m. Smith County Sheriff’s deputies were first on the scene around 1:45 a.m. Law enforcement found two men dead from gunshot wounds and a woman who had been shot inside the club. The deputies applied a tourniquet to the woman’s leg and she was transported to UT Health Tyler by UT EMS.
The other woman who was shot at the club had already left the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The sheriff’s office confirmed that both women who were shot were dealing with injuries that were not life-threatening.

What Authorities Say About the Suspect
A suspect in the shooting is reported to have left the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived. It’s possible that multiple suspects may have been involved in the shooting.
The shooting is under investigation by the Sheriff’s office. More information will be released as it becomes available.
