St. Jude Hero Runs for Hope in Memphis After Brain Cancer
Last year I was blessed with a trip to Memphis, TN to learn more about the power of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
One patient stood out to me during the many stories that were shared. I wish I could remember his poetic words. I was so moved by his story. Chandler and his mom were on a panel that spoke to radio personalities about their journey.
Chandler had been a runner and training for his first marathon when he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Brain cancer.
The life he and his family were living changed in an instant. Thankfully St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is there for families like his, and he was able to receive treatment. Treatments that were debilitating to his limbs.
In the video above he describes not be able to even wiggle his toes. Today he is running again. He recently completed the St. Jude Half Marathon in Memphis. Watch Chandler's story above, and know that when you become a Partner in Hope, you are helping more kids like Chandler survive and thrive.
