Chili cooks will line the drive that wraps around Gander Mountain this Saturday preparing their best chili for competition in the 35th Ever Rose City Chili Cook Off.

The Rose City Chili POD is preparing for the 2016 Chili Cookoff with their first meeting of the year, tonight at Portifino’s Italian Restaurant at 6 p.m.

The 34th Ever Rose City Chili Cook-off is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at Gander Mountain in Tyler. The event will benefit the Spirit of St. Louis Therapeutic Riding Program for special needs teens and adults.

Being from Texas, I love me some chili! I found this recipe recently and gave it a try - spicy, hot and delicious! Make ya a batch and you'll what I mean. The secret ingredient - Tabasco! Yummo! This recipe has beans, and I usually never eat beans in my chili, but it works.
