Hot bowls of chili will be served up Saturday at the Rose City Chili Cookoff! Bring your appetite, some crackers to cleanse the palette between chili tastings and maybe some antacids for later!

The Rose City Chili Pod is hosting the Rose City 36th Chili Cookoff this Saturday (March 4th) at Gander Mountain in south Tyler. This is a CASI sanctioned event (Chili Appreciation Society International) and is open to all competitors! There will be competitions for chili, beans along with a junior division. Each participant must make at least two gallons of chili - which will be used for judging and for public tasting!

Public tasting begins at 11 a.m. and for a $3 donation you can sample all the chili from all participating participants you want - until they run out! The chili cookoff also benefits the Ragan's Hope charitable organization. Check out the Rose City Chili Pod Facebook page for details on how to get your chili entered into the competition and other general information!
