Lots of Christmas events happening in East Texas this weekend.

Some of the sounds you can probably guess right away!

Texas is known for a lot of things including many different Guinness Book World Records. East Texas has a claim to two of those unique world records that still stand today.

It's all about the bbq and tacos this weekend in East Texas.

Rain is expected to move into East Texas Friday and last through the night, moving some Friday night games to Thursday.

I stumbled onto a new form of relaxation today, the salt cave, and immediately I wondered why we don't have one in East Texas. After all, we do have a salt palace in Grand Saline.

While on late night patrol for the Grand Saline Police Department, a rookie officer passes along the time by singing along to the radio!

We're all looking forward to the weekend and if you don't have any plans yet, you might consider heading to Grand Saline, Henderson or Tyler some big festivals and events this weekend.

A large part of Thursday's American Idol auditions focused on jokester auditions and disagreements on talent between the judges. But the show closed with a great story about 28-year-old worship leader Ramiro Garcia, and his audition even had a little East Texas flavor to it.
