Dallas Cowboys season may have just kicked off, but the other Arlington stadium is still hopping. The Texas Rangers had pretty much been written off before the season began. Their ace of the pitching staff, Yu Darvish, went down for the season after having Tommy John surgery. The Rangers had the worst record in baseball in May at 8-16.

But first-year manager Jeff Banister has believed in this team all year and GM Jon Daniels made some good trades, including getting one of the best pitchers in baseball, Cole Hamels, at the trade deadline. Pitcher Derek Holland came off the disabled list last month and has been lights out since, and the Rangers moved into first place in the AL West last night thanks to Mitch Moreland's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth.

The Rangers have two more games in Arlington against the Astros, who were in first place until last night, to extend their division lead. They'll have a tough test tonight (Sept. 16) as they face the Astros' 17-game winner, Dallas Keuchel.

Let's Go Rangers!
