Texas is a ton of fun. There is a lake always close by to swim in, enjoy some fishing or just chill on a boat. There are some great amusement parks with some of the best roller coasters in the country. You can take a week to travel around the state and not be able to try all the fun spots Texas has to offer.

A new study from wallethub.com has found that out of the 50 states of our union, Texas sits at number ten of the most fun states.

How did this site come to this conclusion? Some of the metrics used included number of attractions, weather, amusement parks, golf course, country clubs, beaches, nightlife and more.

Based on those metrics, the top ten are as follows:

  1. California
  2. Florida
  3. New York
  4. Washington
  5. Colorado
  6. Nevada
  7. Minnesota
  8. Pennsylvania
  9. Oregon
  10. Texas

To be honest, I find it weird that Nevada is number six. I would think it would number one just because of Las Vegas. Pennsylvania at number eight? Florida fits at number two. New York at three. Texas should have been top five, though.

Decide for yourself. You can check out the full metric system WalletHub used at their website. Keep making Texas fun, friends.
