How the Investigation Began

During the investigation, the detective learned that the items stolen were then purchased by someone named “fence” who would then resell the items for profit.

The detective in the case began working with Walmart Global Security Investigator Lee, and together they were able to identify “fence.”

What first began as a small theft quickly expanded to a major multi-agency investigation involving the Plano Police General Crimes Unit and Special Investigative Services Unit, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Allen Police Department, Nintendo of America, and retail loss prevention teams at Walmart, Target and Kroger.

Where the Suspect Was Found

The investigation led to a residence in Irving, Texas where the suspect was believed to be storing the stolen goods. On March 5, 2026, search and arrest warrants were executed, the suspect was taken into custody for organized retail theft. Detectives recovered $42,000 in cash and over $100,000 in stolen property.

This outcome wouldn’t have been possible without multiple organizations working together. Due to their hard work, a major organized retail theft suspect is behind bars.
