Tips for Teaching Texting

In today's world, texting is the fastest and easiest way to reach most people...unless they don't know how to text.

If you've ever taken it upon yourself to teach someone to text, you know it can be difficult - especially when the person you're trying to teach didn't grow up surrounded my modern technology.

The search for the spacebar on the keyboard can seem endless. Capitalizing letters can be a serious struggle. And I'm not even talking about on a smartphone. Adding apps, Internet and music to a phone adds even more topics to cover.

But if you are taking on the challenge, try these tips:

• Have a lot of patience
• Prioritize the things you must teach
• Break up the teaching sessions
• Text the person after you teach them so they can practice
• Enjoy the laughs and thank God you know how to text like a pro
