Headed to the State Fair of Texas this year? You might run into volunteers from Tyler there to greet visitors and share what Tyler has to offer.

As a part of the Fair's 'Destination Days' feature, volunteers from Visit Tyler will be present on Saturday to greet people from all over the state of Texas and beyond. They will help staff the Texas Heritage Travel booth in the historic GoTexan Pavilion, next to the State Fair Wine Garden and close to the Cotton Bowl.

“We are thrilled to showcase Tyler as a focus destination at the Fair this year,” said Susan Travis, Visit Tyler Vice President of Tourism/Servicing. “We know what an amazing place it is to visit, and we look forward to sharing that information with the diverse travelers who come to the Fair.”

The Texas Heritage Travel booth operates as a miniature visitor center, displaying banners and information about all ten of the state’s Heritage Trail Regions and distributing nearly two tons of free brochures, visitor guides, maps, and community-branded items throughout the duration of the Fair.
