Uncle Lucius is no stranger to making the drive up Interstate 35, taking a right on Highway 31 and ending up in Tyler for a show.

And the boys from "South Austin, Texas," as they say, are ready to do it again when they headline the fourth annual East Texas All-Star Showcase on Saturday (Aug. 23) on the brick streets in downtown Tyler.

The five-piece band is in the early stages of a new album, which will be released early in 2015. You can get a taste of what will likely be a few of the songs on that album if you download their live album, 'Live @ Grady's 66,' right here.

And for the record, "Nothing to Save" might be Uncle Lucius' best song yet.

This year's All-Star Showcase will happen right inside and outside of Liberty Hall in Downtown Tyler, where attendees can take in an art gallery showcasing work by some of the area's best artists and, of course, live music.

Man No Sober and Sideshow Tragedy will support Uncle Lucius, who are scheduled to take the stage at 10:30 p.m. The whole shebang starts at 6 p.m.

Art vendors will have their work for sale, and food can be purchased from Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ in Tyler.

Tickets are $10 in advance online or $20 at the door. You can buy 'em right here at OuthouseTickets.com.
