Amish Man Arrested For Arranging Horse and Buggy Tryst With 12-Year-Old Girl
While the Amish completely reject most technologies, like the automobile, they apparently aren’t dead set against cellphone use.
In fact, Amish man Willard Yoder used his cellphone to send 600 sexually charged text messages to a 12-year-old girl.
Unfortunately for the 21-year-old, the girl’s parents found their daughter’s phone with the messages in it. So by the time Yoder made his big move, and suggested his sext friend met him in parking lot so they could get busy inside of — yes — his horse and buggy, the police had been alerted.
A sting was set up, and Yoder rode right into it. According to the police report, Yoder calmly tied his horse to a post, and then confessed that his intention was to met the girl. While doing so, he offered the cops the extremely misguided excuse that he thought she was 13.
