Ok, I thought this was a joke, but apparently, this is real.

With the midterm elections coming in October many college students are finding difficulty in casting their ballots because they don’t know how to obtain stamps.

Yep, you heard correctly!  According to Fox San Antonio, an official from Fairfax County, VA stated young people who study in a state other than the one they are registered to vote in are not completing the process because they don’t know to get stamps.

Lisa Collins, an employee at Fair County Office of Public Affairs said she has experienced the same problem during a group discussion of college students interning for one of the area’s government agencies.

One thing that came up, which I had heard from my own kids but I thought they were just nerdy, was that the students will go through the process of applying for a mail-in absentee ballot, they will fill out the ballot, and then, they don't know where to get stamps.  That seems to be like a hump that they can't get across.

While I find it unbelievable that they don't know how to obtain stamps I feel obligated to give them this piece of information on where to get them.....The U.S. Post Office, at local grocery stores, and even at mailing centers.
