Popular Korean BBQ Chain Cupbop Opening First Tyler Location
Exciting news for East Texans as there is a new restaurant that will be opening in Tyler. Cupbop Korean BBQ is planning to open their first location in Tyler. We know that East Texas loves when a new restaurant comes to town and having tried Cupbop before I think you're going to like this place.
Where Cupbop Is Opening in Tyler
The new Korean BBQ restaurant will open at the Villages at Cumberland Park in Tyler later in 2026. Construction for the restaurant is set to begin later this month and should be completed by September according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The new restaurant is privately funded and is estimated to cost around $20,000 to renovate the 1,629 square-foot building.
The address is 8982 South Broadway Avenue, Suite 112, which would put this new restaurant right next to the CRUMBL Cookies location.

What Is Cupbop Korean BBQ?
I'm sure you're wondering, "What is Cupbop?" It's a fun new take on Korean cuisine, it offers bold flavors while focusing on fresh ingredients. They prepare orders quickly and as mentioned on their website, they try to stay affordable.
Cupbop started out of a food truck in 2013 with four main dishes and a variety of sauces ranging from Level 1 (sweet) to Level 10 (extra spicy), the most popular being the 7.5 (Korean spicy). But you will also want to make sure you try their Mandoo which is Korean chicken potstickers, they are delicious.

Obviously, we know that Dave & Buster's is currently under construction. It's clear that the Village at Cumberland Park is growing quickly. Plus, there is the new Parkside development in that same area. South Tyler continues to grow rapidly, what an exciting time for East Texas.
