The country music world was hit hard Monday when superstars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton announced their divorce after four years of marriage. Was infidelity the reason?

It's no secret Miranda and Blake first met in 2005 when he was still married to his first wife Kaynette Gern. The two divorced in 2006 and Blake and Miranda became official a short time after. Of course, that sparked rumors the two became romantically involved while Blake was still married.

But was Miranda the one cheating this time?

TMZ is reporting that Blake filed for divorce two weeks ago because he thought Miranda was being unfaithful -- twice.

The website says Blake had heard rumors Miranda had hooked up with fellow country star Chris Young, and it made him suspicious. Young opened for Miranda on tour two years ago, but TMZ reports its sources are saying Young was not the reason for the divorce, but a man who is not a country singer.

TMZ's sources say Blake filed for divorce two weeks ago because he received information about Miranda and another man, and it was enough for him to call it quits. Blake reportedly told Miranda she had until Monday (July 20) to get all her animals off their ranch in Oklahoma.

TMZ also reports that while the two are saying the divorce is amicable, Blake has been quite upset over the past few weeks.

Video also has surfaced of Miranda breaking down on stage two days before the divorce announcement while performing 'The House That Built Me,' a song that was written for Blake, but he allowed her to record it. It became the song that launched Miranda into stardom.

Whatever the situation is, our thoughts and prayers are with both Blake and Miranda in such a difficult time.
