East Texan Lauren Alexander Excited For Release of New Album

An exclusive interview with Lauren Alexander helped us to get to know the rising musician inside and out!

Bullard, Texas' very own, Lauren Alexander isn't exactly new to the music industry, Lauren has been playing music with her family since she was a kid. Starting out with the guitar, Lauren quickly moved to writing her own music, singing, and playing the harmonica.

As a growing musician, she played mostly pure country, but as Lauren has grown she's taken more of an interest in a soulful, free-spirited type of music. Lauren stated that the music started to "grow with her as she got older and her tastes changed." She is an extremely talented singer and songwriter, along with the rest of her band, including her guitar player and fiancé Richie Kindle. The two are to be married later this month and hope to travel the country and share their music with everyone.

This album to be released October 7th, called Smoke Signals is their first album to be released. Smoke Signals actually shares a release date with her idol - Stevie Nicks' album release date! Lauren said that "the album is a long time coming" and the band is really glad to have some of their work to sell and get out to the public. Smoke Signals had 12 incredible songs on it that they've been wanting to share for a long time, which you can get a peek of here. Lauren actually shared with us her favorite song - Wildflower - which she says is a "song to herself," that she wrote the first time traveling to Nashville to cope with the stress of booking shows.
