(KNUE-FM) For many young adults in Texas, the thought of going to college is very exciting, although it’s also very expensive, especially if you have aspirations of going to Harvard University. But it’s fantastic to hear that one East Texas senior has now earned a full-ride scholarship to the school of her choice, Harvard University!

What Is the QuestBridge National College Match

It’s great to share the details about Catie Espiricueta who recently earned the QuestBridge National College Match and did everything necessary to be awarded a full-ride to Harvard University. The details were released by Tyler ISD and shared by CBS 19.

“I applied through QuestBridge because it is designed to connect low-income, high-achieving students to top schools that might otherwise feel out of reach because of cost or circumstances,” Espiricueta said.

How She Earned the Harvard Match

Catie had applied for the QuestBridge Scholarship after becoming a National College Match Finalist, allowing her to match with 15 schools. She ranked Harvard as her first choice and then matched with the school.

Catie is very hard-working having earned a 4.0 GPA and currently ranking third in her graduating class. She has earned numerous academic awards and takes on additional tasks such as being the president of the National Honor Society.

As you would expect, this amazing young woman took the time to thank QuestBridge for giving her the opportunity to share her story.
