El Charro on the Ridge Closing Permanently
El Charro on the Ridge is one of the most popular locations for Tex Mex in East Texas. Unfortunately, their Tyler location is closing permanently due to COVID-19 hardships.
El Charro on the Ridge, located on Old Jacksonville Hwy next to Fresh, announced on their Facebook page Monday, June 1, that they will closing their doors permanently.
This is a real bummer. El Charro restuarants has some of the best Tex Mex you can find in East Texas. The El Charro name has been in East Texas since 1952 with their location on Erwin. That was followed by a second location on Fifth Street.
Those locations closed in 2013. El Charro on the Ridge opened in 2014.
El Charro did say that all gift cards and coupons will be accepted at their sister restaurant, Manny's Tex Mex Cafe on South Beckham Avenue.
