The 2016 Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival, presented by Tyler Ford, is shaping up to be our biggest and best ever.

We're sold out and ready to go for Round 3 of Red Dirt. And here is where you'll find pretty much everything you need to know to get ready for The Biggest BBQ Party on Earth.

Everything you'll need to know, from parking, to beer, to music schedules, to BBQ joints and more is all right here. If you have a question that's not answered here, be sure and check our FAQ page here. Still no answer? Contact us here and we'll get back to you shortly.

What if it rains?

Red Dirt will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, event coordinators and the bands' tour managers will decide whether to continue with the festival, keeping into account the safety of everyone in attendance. Event cancellation will be our last resort, and will only happen if necessary. As is printed on your tickets, refunds will not be able to be given.

Will there be tickets sold at the gate?

Red Dirt is completely sold out again this year. Unfortunately we will not have any tickets for sale at the gate.

My tickets are on my phone. Can you scan them from there?

Yep! Please just make sure the brightness is up on your phone. Makes it easier to scan.

Where do we park?

We recommend parking at the new Fair Plaza Parking Garage at the corner of Broadway Ave. and Elm St. Parking is free in the garage on the weekend, and it's just a short walk from the gate. If the lot is full, there are plenty of lots around downtown where you can find a spot. Public spots are free on the weekends, but if you park at a business, we can't guarantee they won't charge.

Where is the entrance?

The gate is at the corner of Broadway Ave. and Erwin St. We will have multiple lines for entry at this point.

What's the gate schedule?

VIPs can begin checking in at noon. Check-in is at the VIP area at the gate where you will receive your VIP package. VIP entry is at 2 p.m. General admission entry is at 3 p.m., and gates open for the concert at 5 p.m.

Can we bring lawn chairs and/or blankets with us?

Yes! We will have areas for seating throughout the festival, but you are welcome to bring portable chairs with you. NOTE: Lawn chairs will NOT be allowed in the VIP area directly in front of the stage. This area is standing room only in order to give every VIP ticket-holder the chance to be up front. There will be a seating area for VIPs in front of the Bank of America building. This will be strictly enforced by security during the festival.

What can we not bring with us?

Outside food or drinks, weapons, drugs, coolers, friends who waited too long to buy tickets, pets (service animals are welcome, of course) vegetarianism and bad attitudes.

What can we bring with us?

A hat and sunscreen (it's gonna be hot, y'all), chairs and blankets (outside of VIP area in front of the stage) and the party.

What's the music schedule?

We'll have live music playing all day during the festival. Here's the schedule:

What barbecue joints will be there?

You can see our participating joints hereNote: Due to extenuating circumstances, Opie's Barbecue, Riverport Bar-B-Que and Killen's Barbecue were unable to make it this year. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we are also proud to welcome Roegel's Barbecue to Red Dirt this year, giving us 20 barbecue joints.

Will it be beer tickets again?

Yes. We will have Shiner Beers tents set up where you can buy beer tickets. The price is the same ($4 per ticket) and the ticket tents will accept cash only. There will be several ATMs on site if you need cash. One ticket = one drink.

What beverages will be served?
  • Alcoholic: Shiner Bock, Shiner Light Blonde, Shiner Ruby Redbird, Shiner Prickly Pear, Lone Star, Lone Star Light, Palm Breeze and Mike's Classic Margarita.
  • Non-alcoholic: Water, Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, 7-Up and Snapple tea.
Can we come and go from the festival?

Absolutely! You will receive a wristband at the gate that will allow you to come and go as you please through the gate. So, be sure you leave the wristband on all night. No wristband = no re-entry.

Will I need to bring cash?

We highly recommend it. If you are planning on drinking or shopping, you will need cash. It will be up to individual vendors on whether they will accept credit/debit cards. We will have several ATMs on site.

Will food be available to concert-only ticket holders?

Every barbecue restaurant participating the festival is allowed to bring extra food to sell to concert-goers if they wish. This does not necessarily guarantee food will be available from all/any of the participating restaurants. Prices will be set at the discretion of the restaurants, as well as whether or not they will accept credit/debit cards. Again, if you need cash, there will be several ATMs on site.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to all of you who purchased tickets to this year's festival, our sponsors and everyone who helps make this event possible. We can't wait to party with y'all on Saturday!
