A recent study by Pink Storage, looked at all 50 states to find out which ones are the best and worst to live in. They checked things like how affordable housing is, how safe the area is, and how long people live.

Crime

For the record, I love living in Texas. I'm just just the messenger. The study found that Texas is one of the worst states to live in, which surprised many people. Here's why: Texas didn't do well in real estate growth, and people there work a lot, almost as much as folks in Louisiana. Also, Texas has higher levels of violent and auto crimes compared to some other states. Although I've lived in the big and smaller cities here, crime never seemed to find me.

6th Place

Overall, Texas came in sixth place for the worst state to live in. The top five worst were Louisiana, Tennessee, Arizona, South Carolina, and California. Plus, a recent report said Texas isn't great for women to live in either.

No Need to Move

Scott Evans from Pink Storage says moving homes is a big deal, especially if you're moving to a different state. Everyone looks for different things in a new place, like affordable housing, job opportunities, and safety. Their study helps give an idea of what to expect when moving to a new state.

This study is important for anyone thinking about moving because it shows how important it is to think about everything before deciding. The economy, crime rates, education, and the housing market should all be considered.

Honestly, most of us here don't want any more people from other states so... yeah... it's a terrible place to live. Stay far away, you'd hate it here.
