(Mix 93-1)  As a kid, I had a dream, at one time, of being a police officer. My neighborhood friends would ride our bikes up and down the street playing cops and robbers. We'd give out speeding tickets, make arrests, do some detective work, and always catch the bad guy.

I also had dreams of being a radio personality, and look what dream won out, my radio dream. But that doesn't mean I still didn't want to be a police officer. A main reason I was interested in both jobs was because of their proximity to the public and the interaction that comes with it.

Police officers meet some very interesting people and interact with them in some very interesting situations. Officers are often very compassionate, but turn very serious when it comes to people breaking the law.

Once the lights are activated, their tone changes quickly, and always on guard because they do not know what they're going to encounter during the traffic stop.

This traffic stop was anything but a 'routine' traffic stop. This traffic stop ended up producing a racccoon holding a meth pipe in its mouth while in the driver's seat.

It happened in Springfield Township, Ohio, when an Akron woman was pulled over during a traffic stop. She was initially questioned and then arrested on drug charges. While officers were going through her vehicle, they

observed a raccoon named ‘Chewy’ sitting in the driver’s seat with a meth pipe in its mouth."

Seeing this, Ohio officers had probable cause to search Victoria Vidal's vehicle. The officers uncovered a bulk of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and three used glass meth pipes.

Vidal was arrested and could be facing additional charges.

All of this was captured on a police body camera. The department spokesperson says,

While our officers are trained to expect the unexpected, finding a raccoon holding a meth pipe is a first! No raccoons were hurt or injured in this incident."

The good news is that Chewy was turned over to animal control to determine if he was properly documented by local authorities.
