Final Splash: Pool Parties And Dog Days In Tyler
(Tyler, Texas) It is stiflingly hot throughout East Texas. Summer is bearing down upon the Piney Woods, and East Texans are just looking for a way to escape the heat and humidity.
The air conditioning units are working as hard as they can to keep us cool and comfortable, but sometimes we can't resist the pull of the summer sun and head right outside into its grip and jump right into the cool waters of a pool.
Some are lucky to have a backyard pool or one at their apartment complex to jump into, and for those of us who don't, we're thankful for the city pool.
Why Tyler Loves Its City Pools
Don’t dismiss the city pool; it offers more than you think. These pools offer up a lot of swimming space, some have cool slides, and others have some interactive water features for kids, too.
As summer begins to wind down, it's about time for the city pools to shut down as school begins, but before that happens, Tyler Parks and Recreation will be hosting some final end-of-summer events.
Tyler Parks has some big plans for the end of summer. Head out to a city pool for some awesome games, music, snacks, and a lot of fun with your friends, and it's underway now with 'Twilight Tuesday'.
All planned events will last through August and will be held at Fun Forest Pool on Glenwood Blvd. in Tyler.
