Lil Nas X + Billy Ray Cyrus Bring ‘Old Town Road’ to 2019 BET Awards [WATCH]

Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus turned Sunday night's (June 23) 2019 BET Awards into their version of the Old West with a performance of their massive hit "Old Town Road." Readers can press play above to watch.

Lil Nas X and Cyrus' performance opened with the two taking their horses to the BET Awards red carpet, outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The pair entered the arena and busted through the classic saloon-style doors onstage to start the song.

As Cyrus began "Old Town Road," the BET Awards crowd -- including quite a few of the celebrities in attendance -- could be heard singing along to every word. A live band added an extra bit of flair to the song, which spent its 11th week atop the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 for the chart week dated June 22.

Despite the fact that it was eliminated from the Hot Country Songs chart after its debut back in March, "Old Town Road" has been everywhere this summer. Lil Nas X and Cyrus performed the song at CMA Fest with Keith Urban, and at Stagecoach with Diplo. Everyone from Old Crow Medicine Show to Josh Abbott has covered it.

On Friday (June 21), Lil Nas X released his debut EP, 7. In addition to Cyrus on "Old Town Road," rapper Cardi B makes a guest appearance on the project.
