Dallas based Half Price Books will open a new store in Tyler August 31 in the Village at Cumberland Park.

It got it's start as a used book store, converted from an old laundrymat, in Dallas in 1972. Not only can you come in and buy used books, but you can also sell anything from old textbooks to music to e-readers and more.

Get all the details on what they buy and sell at hpb.com.

But they also donate books to the communities the stores are in. The store doesn't open until August, but Half Price Books will donate 10,000 books to the Literacy Council of Tyler according to KLTV.

It's a part of their effort to donate one million overstocked books every year around the world.
