Mason has been hanging out at the Humane Society's Pets Fur People shelter now for three months. He's getting comfortable where he is, but Pets Fur People prefers for him to get more comfortable with you and your active family.

There's only so much love that the staff can be spread throughout the shelter with nearly fifty other dogs and cats to care for.

Mason is just like any other dog, he loves to put that nose to work when he goes out on brisk walks. Sniffing and taking in all the smells is what it's all about when out on a walk. Then when it comes to a quick road trip to the store, he's down for that too! He just loves sticking his head out of the window and taking in all the air.

Mason is a one-year-old guy that appears to have some Border Collie in his DNA. He currently weighs about sixty pounds. Gayle Helms, Pets Fur People executive director, feels that he would thrive in an active family setting and enjoys the company of kids and other dogs.

Mason will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar and leash, and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.

For additional information on adopting Mason call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before a meet and greet can be arranged. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow Pets Fur People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
