The Gatlin Brothers have been a huge part of both country and gospel music. And have taken home many awards for their work.

The brothers from Abilene have stuck together for 60 years. Still today, they have garnered fans both young and old.

Larry Gatlin is the star of the group having worked with some of the greats of country music including Dottie West and Kris Kristofferson. Johnny Cash even wrote the liner notes for Larry's first album, The Pilgrim, which was also Johnny's nickname for Larry.

The brothers signature song is "All the Gold in California" with other hits like "Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer to You)," and "I Don’t Wanna Cry."

They've been nominated and won numerous ACM and CMA awards and have been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1976.

They will be performing at Choctaw Casino in Grant, Oklahoma Saturday night, August 18. Head to choctawcasinos.com to get tickets.

I got the opportunity to talk with Rudy Gatlin about their career, latest album and what to expect from a live show. Listen below.
