(KNUE-FM) For the most part, East Texans look out for each other. And that includes wanting to share experiences when it comes to products being advertised online. Recently, there was a conversation that started blowing up on the All-Things Tyler Facebook page and it had to do with mushroom coffee.

Mushroom coffee has grown in popularity and is being advertised as having more benefits than a regular cup of coffee. It’s supposed to give you energy without any crash, can help with digestion, relieve bloating and inflammation, and help with focus. But the real question is does it truly work?

The opinions on the mushroom coffee were all over the place. Some East Texans said that it was beneficial but more expensive, so they eventually stopped buying it. Probably the most popular comment online was about the taste of the coffee, many people feeling like it tasted very earthy, almost like dirt.

Claimed Benefits vs Real Experience

There were a few people who love the produce and had seen the results they expected since taking the coffee. Some feel the benefits are great but say you need to mask the flavor of the mushroom coffee. Others believe this is just the latest gimmick to get people to buy a new product.
