It's widely known that I am a big fan of the Harry Potter books and movies, so it might not surprise you that I joined Pottermore.com in June of 2012.

Pottermore has become J.K. Rowling's playground for all things in the magical world. It's a digital opportunity to immerse yourself further into the world of Harry Potter. When you join the site you take a quiz to be sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses. I was sorted into Gryffindor. While I would have truly been disappointed with anything else, I have a very good friend who is happily sorted into Hufflepuff.

I was also able to visit Ollivander's Wand Shop and take another quiz in order for my wand to choose me. I ended up with a Redwood wand 10 3/4 inches long, with a unicorn core and supple flexibility.

According to Rowling's new writings on wandlore, I've discovered that I'm a moderately lucky person with a loyal wand.

Through my limited experience on the site, I've cast a few spells, been abysmal at potions, and manage to pick up a few items. Currently I have 35 books, 33 chocolate frog cards and 82 objects in my trunk.

I've made it most of the way through book 3, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and most recently unlocked Rowling's writings on the 'Time-Turner.'

I have not spent a great deal of time on the site recently, but today discovered that the only book not yet unlocked is the final, Harry Potter and the Dealthly Hallows.
