Two groups in Newark, New Jersey wanting to demonstrate against violence got into a skirmish on the steps of city hall.

The groups were looking to urge Mayor Ras Baraka to put his anti-violence plan into action but a group of mayor supporters approached the group and began arguing.

According to NJ.com, one man put his hands around the neck of another and pushed him to the ground.

No serious injuries were reported and police are investigating the incident.
