Major Drug and Gun Bust in Palestine, Texas Traffic Stop
(KNUE-FM) We know that East Texas just like everywhere else is going to have its share of drugs, even with as many law enforcement officers as we have trying to keep them off the streets. But recently, the Palestine Police Department went to social media as they were celebrating a traffic stop that lead to major drugs and weapons being seized.
Traffic Stop Sparks Major Discovery
Officers from the Palestine Police Department Street Crimes Unit attempted to stop a vehicle at 2:00 p.m. on August 18, 2025. The vehicle was pulled over for traffic violations but the driver decided to not pull over until he entered the driveway to his residence on the 2200 block of Saltworks Road.
The driver was identified as 47-year-old Llewellyn Lynn of Palestine, and he immediately exited his vehicle and became uncooperative with officers. It was just a short time later that Lynn was taken into custody.

Drugs and Firearms Found in Vehicle
After Lynn was apprehended there was a vehicle search done where officers located five pounds of marijuana and two firearms. Because his residence was within 1,000 feet of Westwood Elementary School it is also considered a Drug-Free Zone.
A female at his residence (Domanique King) was taken into custody on an unrelated felony warrant.

Search Warrant Uncovers More Weapons
There was a search warrant executed on Lynn’s house and two storage units which resulted in over five ounces of methamphetamine, an additional three pounds of marijuana, and over forty firearms and ammunition. Several of the firearms were found to be stolen.
Lynn was booked into the Anderson County Jail on multiple charges and additional charges are expected.
