Texas DPS Featured Fugitive

There is one fugitive that the Texas Department of Public Safety wants to track down quickly.

This fugitive has been named their featured fugitive for the month of April and the reward for information leading to his arrest has been increased to $6,000.

The featured fugitive for April is an illegal immigrant from Iraq, his name is Jassim Abdul Hussain Al-Samawi.

What Crime Is He Wanted For?

Al-Samawi has been wanted out of Tarrant County since August of 2022 for a probation violation related to an arson conviction.

He also has previous arrests out of the Metroplex area for unlawfully carry of a weapon, arson, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony, burglary of a building, terroristic threat, failure to identify as a fugitive and criminal mischief.

Where the Featured Fugitive Might Be Hiding

Al-Samawi is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He has tattoos on both hands, both arms, and on his right leg.

It’s possible that he might be staying at homeless shelters in the Fort Worth or Arlington area.
