We all know that crime happens everywhere, and Texas is no exception. Although we also know that law enforcement in Texas will always hold you accountable for your actions. But there is one very dangerous crime that took place on multiple occasions last year that needs to stop immediately.

What Crime Needs to Stop in Texas

A recent article released by My San Antonio was discussing how there were multiple times last year that law enforcement officers had to respond to calls about rocks being thrown from overpass bridges.

It’s not funny, it’s not a game, it will instantly put lives in danger or could cause very serious damage.

The Austin Police Department is Actively Looking for the Suspects

One of the incidents with a rock being thrown at a vehicle was on Friday, December 13th around 8:15 pm. The driver was on Ben White Boulevard eastbound under the bridge at South First Street. The rock hit a windshield almost exactly where the driver's seat was located.

If that rock would have penetrated through the glass, it could have easily caused the death of the driver. Police are still investigating this crime.

There was another rock thrown from an overpass on November 14th around 11:00 p.m. and law enforcement was never able to identify anyone who would have been a person of interest for that incident.

Talk to Your Kids About the Dangers and Seriousness of Throwing Rocks

It might seem like common sense, you might think your kids would never do that. But it’s worth having a conversation so your kids know the consequences of throwing rocks.
