That lovely COVID-19, it's throwing a wrench into all of America's Summer plans. That includes a trip to Six Flags this summer.

Six Flags Over Texas' 15th coaster will be a first of it's kind water coaster.

It's the most spookiest time of the year!

There are still plenty of things to do in East Texas on this unofficial last weekend of summer.

Six Flags Over Texas unveiled its latest coaster, El Diablo and Mix 93-1's Lucky Larry got to experience the intenseness of El Diablo.

Standing tall for 50 years, the orange oil derrick at Six Flags Over Texas will be celebrating the milestone birthday on May 24th.

Summer is here and it's time to ride the roller coasters with your hands in the air proving you're not scared to ride! Roller coasters are the central attraction to any good theme park and there's not a shortage of them all within a days' drive of East Texas!

One of my favorite things to do in the entire world is to ride roller coasters! Thankfully I live close enough to Six Flags Over Texas that I can get my fill of thrills just about any time I want and there's a new one opening this spring too!

Tourism can be a business boost, but having all those visitors in town all the time must get a little annoying.

East Texas summer essentials include a barbecue pit, cold beer, a lake and some fun in the sun. While KNUE can't give you a lake, cold beers or a barbecue pit, we can and will give away fun in the sun!

This weekend is the last weekend you’ll be able to ride The Texas Chute Out and Flashback at Six Flags Over Texas.  The park will stop operating these thrill rides Monday evening and the space will be occupied by a new thrill ride called the Texas SkyScreamer which will open in 2013!

Your final chance to ride two iconic rides at Six Flags Over Texas will be Labor Day.  The park will be closing the Texas Chute Out along with Flashback after decades of service to make way for a yet to be announced new attraction for the park.
