Over the past week we have seen so many Texas athletes have their dreams come true as they were drafted by NFL teams. While it’s fun to see the teams make the call to the players, you know those athletes had to spend years preparing for the opportunity.

It’s always fun to watch people’s dreams come true especially when they are surrounded by friends and family members who get to see all of their hard work pay off. And there were lots of Texas athletes that can now call themselves professional football players.

How Many Texas Players Were Drafted in 2026?

According to KXAN, in total there were 33 athletes from Texas universities that were taken during the NFL draft. But it’s also fun to watch some of the players that didn’t get the call during the draft but have since signed with NFL teams and will continue to work hard to make a roster and continue their dream of playing on Sundays for an NFL team.
