Texas’ Population Increasing Faster Than Any Other State
Who doesn't want to be a Texan? There are probably a few holdouts. But what is clear, more Americans want to be in Texas than want to be in any other state.
Texas grew by more than one-thousand people per day last year, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report, this from July 1, 2016 to July 1, 2017.
According to the report published by News 4 San Antonio -- 399,734 people became Texans. Although more than half of the new Texans were newborn babies Texas is still growing at a steady pace, according to State Demographer Lloyd Potter.
"If our economy continues at the pace that it has been, I would think that we would continue to grow in a pretty healthy way,” says Potter.
