The Big Bang Theory is my favorite TV show. Honestly, in my opinion, it has been the best show on television since it debuted 12 seasons ago. I have been watching the show since day one. It's funny, entertaining and super relatable to this nerdy dude.

Last Thursday was the series finale. I wasn't able to watch it live due to some other things going on but was finally able to watch the finale yesterday (May 21) afternoon when I wasn't feeling well on the couch.

I'm proud to say that it was a fantastic finale. It was the perfect goodbye to all my favorite characters on the show.

I can say that if you don't follow the "nerd culture" there will be a lot of references you will not get from episode to episode. Specifically Sheldon's shirts. There's a lot of science that I don't understand in the show but it is cool to know that they have real scientists consult on the show to make sure certain things are correct.

The fact that Mayim Bialik, who played Blossom in the 90's, and plays Amy Farrah Fowler on the Big Bang Theory, has a doctorate in neuroscience makes her character that much more legitimate.

Despite all that, the Big Bang Theory is an excellent show. If you've never seen it, TBS runs marathons Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. With all the negative talk about how Game of Thrones ended, how no one is talking about how great the Big Bang Theory ended is beyond me.
