The Wait for Blue Bell Ice Cream Ends Dec. 14 for East Texas

It's been a long time since I've had a bowl of that golden-rimmed ice cream from Blue Bell!

That long wait is just about over for East Texas. According to a post on the Blue Bell Facebook page, their ice cream is expected to be back on store shelves in our area as soon as Dec. 14.

This is phase three of their five-phase plan to return to all of their previous markets.

Ricky Dickson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing says,

We continue to fill stores in phase two but we can now focus our attention on the addition of phase three beginning Dec. 14. This phase includes most of Alabama and Texas and it is our largest phase so far.”

He goes on to say the Blue Bell facility in Brenham will be fully operational soon. The only drawback right now is the variety of flavors of ice cream

Available flavors will be:

• Buttered Pecan
• Cookies 'N Cream
• Dutch Chocolate
• Homemade Vanilla
• The Great Divide

It doesn't really matter to me what flavors are available, because all five listed above are just fine for me. I'll be counting down the days until Blue Bell is back in the freezer section in the grocery store!
