
Two Texas Women Arrested for Theft While Posing as Nurses

Many people feel like a nurse is one of the most trusted professions as these individuals are trying their best to keep us healthy.
But what happens when two ladies dress up like nurses and visit a senior living community with bad intentions?
Two ladies just found out as they were arrested and taken to jail.

What Were These Two Ladies Doing?
According to KXAN, 32-year-old Gina Hernandez and 30-year-old Elsa Vasquez, both from Austin, were arrested and charged with thefts happening at a senior community in Buda, Texas.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office identified the two suspects after they were booked into the Travis County Jail on May 8th.
Vasquez was released on a $22,000 bond; Hernandez has a much higher bond at $214,000.

More Details About the Suspected Thefts
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation after reports of several woman showing up to senior facilities unexpectedly.
The women would distract the seniors with health evaluations and then steal their valuables.
Some victims found out about the theft as their bank would reach out about unusual charges to their account.
The Investigation Showed This Happening for a While
The two suspects attempted to use stolen bank cards at restaurants in Austin.
They also purchased televisions, smart watches, and other miscellaneous items.
While the women were wearing scrubs neither are licensed nurses.
Hernandez is now facing a total of 21 charges, Vasquez is facing 22 charges, both suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
