In an effort to help facilitate any new tips that could shed some light on the whereabouts of a missing Texas man, Jason Landry, a new billboard in Luling, Texas is now up on Highway 183.
And the truth is, even the smallest details can be the very bits of information that could lead to a breakthrough for Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, other law enforcement agencies, and/or private investigators.
There are currently at least six Facebook groups that worked together to raise the funds to get this billboard up in the town where Jason Landry went missing.
For those unfamiliar, 21-year-old Jason Landry, a Texas State University student went missing back on December 13, 2020. He'd been on his way home to Missouri City, Texas to spend the Christmas break with his family. However, his car was found, wrecked, out on Salt Flat Road close to Luling, Texas.
Despite the fact that some of his personal belongings were located, albeit some in concerning ways, Jason was nowhere to be found.
Despite the seven official searches that have taken place so far, there is still no sign of Jason.
Since then, Jason's family along with a throng of supporters started a petition in order to get the authorities to OK a geofence search warrant which some felt would have been a huge help in finding Jason. Some even questioned whether or not evidence was being withheld deliberately. You can more on that update here.
At one point, the cold case department of the Texas Attorney General's office took up the case. And recently, the Caldwell County authorities also asked TEXSAR to conduct yet another one-day search.
You can also get more of the backstory over this past year, as well. Access all of those via this article from several months ago.
