Alabama made Notre Dame look like a bunch of Pop Warner kids last night as they pummeled the Fightin' Irish 42-14 for the BCS Championship title.

How bad was it? It was so bad I had a buddy pay out his bet at halftime. He bet on the Irish.

So like it goes in blowout games, the announcers tend to get bored. The highlight (lowlight?) of the night had to be announcers Kirk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger going ga-ga of Bama QB's AJ McCarron's girlfriend.

"Wow you quarterbacks, you get all the good lookin' women! What a beautiful woman!"

Katherine Webb's personal Twitter benefited from the exposure. She began the night with about 2,000 followers by noon today (1/8) she had in excess of 147,000 -- whoa!
