(McAllen, Texas) We all know that having illegal drugs in Texas will get you into a lot of trouble with law enforcement and unfortunately there is one elderly man who is about to find that out the hard way.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol with Another Big Cocaine Seizure

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently seized $930,000 in cocaine after a vehicle attempting to enter Texas from Mexico was stopped at the Del Rio port of entry.

The incident took place Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Del Rio International Bridge.

And this drug seizure is just one of many that border protection has seen lately.

The suspect is a 75-year-old Mexican resident who was sent for a secondary inspection where law enforcement found 32 packages of cocaine hidden in a hidden compartment within the seat of the Chevrolet Captiva he was driving.

The cocaine weighed 69.71 pounds and as soon as the drugs were found the driver was arrested.

How Did Law Enforcement Find the Cocaine?

As you would expect, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is really good at finding drugs and other illegal items people attempt to smuggle into the country.

These drugs were found after CBP officers conducted a nonintrusive inspection system on the vehicle.
