Great Texas Balloon Race Announces Musical Guests

The Great Texas Balloon Race returns to the East Texas Regional Airport in Longview July 22nd and 23rd.

The Great Texas Balloon Race started as a small Longview Mall promotion in 1978 and has turned into one of the biggest yearly events in East Texas.

Innovations at the East Texas event, including the balloon glow, have shaped the course of other and larger hot air balloon events across the country and the world.

Top notch musical acts have been a huge part of the festivities as well. The Oak Ridge Boys, Kacey Musgraves, Tracy Lawrence and many other big stars have graced the stage in the past.

This year welcomes Restless Heart and Aaron Watson to perform.

Restless Heart will bring their seven number 1 singles and more of their great music Friday night, July 22nd.

Aaron Watson will bring his decade plus of great Texas Music to the stage Saturday night, July 23rd.
