Texas Among One of the Top States for Paranormal Activity
Texas is a very historic state, which can also mean you might have your fair share of run-ins with some ghosts!
In a ranking of the Best Cities for Paranormal Activity, Texas ended up having quite a few cities make the list.
A Texas city didn't make the number one spot, but San Antonio and Dallas came in the top ten! All across Texas, there's a lot of haunted history to explore. If you're looking for a scare, or two, then the Lone Star is definitely the place you'll want to start at!
To determine paranormal activity, LawnLove.com compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on four categories that included paranormal sightings, Bigfoot sightings, haunted sites, and paranormal conventions and events, among 14 total otherworldly metrics.
You can check out the entire methodology here, but I'm sure you'll agree that Texas definitely has so much paranormal activity- and that includes cryptids like Bigfoot, or in some cases, the Horizon City Monster!
Other Texas cities that made the list include:
- Houston #11
- Austin #13
- Fort Worth #22
- Laredo #44
- Pasadena #62
- Plano #77
- Arlington #79
- Corpus Christi #83
- Irving #87
- Amarillo #94
El Paso, Texas also made the list at number 24! Growing up in El Paso, I've certainly heard my share of ghost stories. And the ghost stories range far and wide in the Sun City; from the "Ghost Girl" who never left El Paso High School, to the Plaza Theater in Downtown that is said to have performers who don't know that the show is over!
The next time you're traveling through the Lone Star state and looking for a haunted watering hole, or a paranormal overnight stay at a beautiful hotel, refer back to this list below and see if you can conjure up any spirits! Happy hauntings!
