Hunter Hayes is my choice for this weeks KNUE 'Artist Spotlight.' Not only is he the most talented 21 year old, he is darn cute! I'm sure his label, Atlantic Records, rejoices everyday that they snagged this talented young man.  Born and raised in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana,  Hunter began his musical career at the age of two when his grandmother gave him a toy accordion. By the time he was four,  he was making appearances at local performances and on national television, including Maury, Rosie O'Donnell, and Nickelodeon's game show Figure It Out, where he performed "Jambalaya" with Hank Williams Jr. Hunter received his first guitar from actor Robert Duvall at age six, and at the ripe old age of 7, he was invited to perform for President Bill Clinton at a White House lawn party. Need I go on?

Hunter has shown that he" ain't no fly by night" artist, he is here to stay. It's apparent with the his number one hits, numerous award nominations and wins, including a CMA award for New Artist of the year. Hunter is also prolific on guitar and piano.

Hunter is also touring with one of the biggest female country superstars - Carrie Underwood. The tour comes to Houston, San Antonio and Cedar Park, Texas, this week alone! Not too shabby for a 21 year old, right!?

There's a lot more to Hunter Hayes - that's why he is the KNUE "Artist Spotlight" of the week.
