“Lone Star Law” to Showcase East Texas Game Wardens

Thursday nights at 9 P.M., Animal Planet will air their new show "Lone Star Law". In it, they will feature a behind the scenes, if you will, as to what our game wardens do on a daily basis.

And some East Texas game wardens will be featured.

"Our main job is we're conservation law enforcement officers," Captain Quint Balkcom, who has served in Tyler for six years, told KETK. "We have all the authorities as any other peace officer in the state of Texas as well as we wear the hat of conservation enforcement, public safety and water safety enforcement. We've got a big job, we wear a number of hats and we're working hard to make sure Texans are safe."

The thirteen episode series will show wardens working cases from alligators to poachers.
