We know that crime happens everywhere, including here in East Texas. In fact, we were just reminded of that as a popular pizza and pasta restaurant in Tyler, Texas was robbed after their hours of operation for more than $1,000.

It was New York Pizza and Pasta located at 1621 South Broadway Avenue in Tyler, which is shocking to me because it’s in an area that it seems like the suspect could have easily been caught. Regardless the criminal is still on the run and the restaurant staff as well as law enforcement is asking for your help to identify the robber.

Lots of “Online Detectives” Are on the Case

Just shortly after New York Pizza and Pasts posted about the robbery online there were people that were commenting that it seemed like an inside job. Possibly a former employee who was still angry with the business, but there is no proof that is what happened. It doesn’t matter what the story is behind the crime, the person responsible needs to be held accountable.

So please, look at the photos of the criminal on the surveillance photos and if you think you can identify them contact the Tyler Police Department at (903)531-1090.
