Rita Ballou joins Radio Texas, LIVE! each week to keep us up to date on all the happenings in the Texas and Red Dirt Music scene. This week we talked about a couple Texas ladies up for an ACM, Ray Wylie Hubbard's and Eli Young Band's late night television appearances plus she even worked in J WOWW and Snooki, some how. Here’s All the Dirt in Red Dirt.

Texas Ladies at the ACM's.

The ladies of Texas are well represented at the ACM's this year. Lone Star State natives Kacey Musgraves and Sunny Sweeney are up for top New Female Vocalist of the Year honors at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Fan voting for the award begins January 21st at GAC.com. So be sure to go online and vote, good luck ladies!

Eli Young Band on Fallon + Jersey Shore Ladies.

Eli Young Band was on Fallon, and I know doing a national late night television show is quite the big deal, but I would have been so damn giddy getting to meet JWOW and Snooki! In my mind they smell like pickles, Valtrex, self tanner and silicon.

Ray Wylie Hubbard's Late Show Appearance.

While I was doing "SlumBallou" interviews at Steamboat last week, Ray Wylie Hubbard was busy doing Letterman. No biggie! Ray even called into the "Slumballou" Party after his performance and we chatted about Biff, the food in the green room and about his rock star entourage.

It turns out Dave is a fan of Ray Wylie Hubbard’s, he even requested Ray sing “Screw You, We’re From Texas.” It didn’t air but you can see it on the late show website.
