Dallas Based Barbecue Joint Adding a 5th East Texas Location
(Gun Barrel City, Texas) - Who has the best barbecue in East Texas? Yeah, that's a question that will never have a unanimous answer and could start a fight or two. Being a native East Texan, I'm very much biased to the barbecue here. It has a flavor that makes it stand out amongst the others.
I will never turn down an invite to enjoy some barbecue. Doesn't matter if it's someone's brisket they've smoked themselves or joining some friends for lunch at a local restaurant. I love barbecue. Ribs that fall of the bone, brisket that is so tender it just falls apart in your hands, a chopped beef sandwich with onions and pickles and some barbecue sauce. Yumm-ee.
Barbecue in East Texas
There are a ton of great barbecue joints to enjoy in East Texas. Stanley's in Tyler is a go-to for many East Texans. Brisket Love in Lindale has a great barbecue selection. Bodacious in Longview is always great. Name the barbecue spot in your town, it's gonna be good.
When you look throughout the whole state of Texas, there are a ton of great barbecue spots to check out if you're on a road trip. One of those great spots is Soulman'S Bar-B-Que. It's based in Dallas but has locations in East Texas. There soon will be another.

Soulman'S Bar-B-Que Coming to Gun Barrel City
Soulman'S Bar-B-Que already has locations in Mabank, Quinlan, Van and Sulphur Springs (KLTV). Their new spot will be the old Whataburger on Main Street in Gun Barrel. The remodel will begin March 30 and it should be finished by July 3. It's not known if that will be the opening date yet.
Nothing wrong with having another barbeque option in East Texas. This will be one of those good ones.
