Who Is Affected by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Breach

Texas Parks and Wildlife is saying an investigation found that an unauthorized actor may have obtained customer information, including driver's license numbers, passport numbers (if provided), email addresses, phone numbers, and residential addresses.

The agency said that Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and financial information, including credit card details, were not accessed during the incident. Texas Cyber Command is now investigating the breach.

What Texas Hunting and Fishing License Holders Should Do Now

Any affected customers are eligible for one year of free credit monitoring through Kroll. Customers can confirm their eligibility by calling 844-959-7123. The enrollment deadline is September 14, 2026.

Texas Parks and Wildlife says it is working to add additional safeguards, enhanced monitoring services and stronger access controls for customer data. The agency said that hunting and fishing license sales will continue as scheduled in August for the next license year.

Affected customers are encouraged to monitor financial statements and credit reports for suspicious activity.
